El equipo lo conforman Pascual Gangotena, David Barragán, Marialuisa Borja y Esteban Benavides. Es un estudio colaborativo y experimental que se enfoca en resolver necesidades reales a base del material disponible, sean recursos sociales o materiales físicos.
El colectivo trabaja con lo que tiene a su alcance, re-combinando lo pre-existente de manera ad hoc y sin prejuicios. El trabajo se realiza desde la complejidad específica del problema pero con una perspectiva integral, una exploración que los ha llevado a colaboraciones interdisciplinarias junto a músicos, artistas, teatreros, diseñadores, publicistas, etc. La fuerza de sus construcciones radica en su ingenio proyectual para unir respuestas arquitectónicas objetivas a percepciones subjetivas del usuario lo que resulta en sistemas constructivos híbridos que combinan lo tradicional con lo contemporáneo, integrando además la dirección de energías sociales y comunitarias para llevar a cabo sus obras.
DIANA WIESNER
Has concentrated her career in recent years on issues of urban ecology applied to the design of public space, urban design,
planning, and implementation of green areas. Professor of Landscape architecture from 1995.
Currently Director of the Foundation Cerros de Bogotá and own business: Architecture and Landscape EU. Delegate of Colombia to the International Federation of Landscape Architects, IFLA. Member of Advisory Board Ordinance of Bogota.
ENRIQUE BROWNE
Arquitecto y Magister en Planiaficación Urbana ambos de ‘Distinción Máxima’ en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Luego fue Alumno Graduado Especial de Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Enrique Browne ha obtenido 64 premios o menciones de honor en concurso y bienales de arquitectura, como Primeros Premios en la Bienal de Chile, Pimer Premio Latinoamericano a la Joven generación en la VII Bienal de Buenos Aires.
GEORG W. REINBERG
Has his office in Vienna. Study at Vienna Technical University and Syracuse University NY, USA. Received grants from Schütte and Fulbright.
Arch. Reinberg leads a civil engineering office specialized in eco-logical green building.He has planned more than 330 projects; about 100 have been built. His office specialises in research, design, planning and supervision of ecological buildings since 1984.
Reinberg is visiting professor at the Danube University Krems “Cen-tre for Construction and Environment”; lectures at the Technical University of Vi-enna ( MSc Program “Renewable Energy in Central and Eastern Europe”, “Green Building Solution”, inter alia.); and at the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna. Is member of the Board of Advisory Committee at the Danube University inter alia. He is also teaching and giving lectures internationally e.g. Latin-American, USA, Europe, China and Iran.
LAWRENCE SCARPA
Has garnered international acclaim for the creative use of conventional materials in unique and unexpected ways. He is also considered a pioneer and leader in the field of sustainable design. He is the recipient of the 2014 Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum Award in Architecture. In 2010 his firm Brooks + Scarpa was also awarded the State of California and National American Institute of Architects Architecture Firm Award.
Over the last ten years, Mr. Scarpa’s firm has received more than 50 major design awards, including nineteen National AIA Awards, Record Houses, Record Interiors, the Rudy Bruner Prize, five AIA Committee on the Environment “Top Ten Green Building” Awards and the World Habitat Award, one of ten firms selected worldwide. He has also received the lifetime achievement awards from Interior Design Magazine and the AIA California Council.
LUIS CARLOS HERRERA SOSA
Arquitecto Mexicano con Maestría en Arquitectura bioclimática por la Escuela de Arquitectura y Diseño de América Latina y el Caribe Isthmus. Doctor en Arquitectura por Facultad de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Colima. Miembro de Barro Vivo Arquitectos con participación en el desarrollado de proyectos urbano-arquitectónicos con diseño bioclimático y criterios sostenibles. Consultor, asesor e investigador en temas de arquitectura bioclimática, eficiencia energética, estrategias de climatización pasiva y ahorro de agua. Miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores.
Profesor Investigador por la Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez. Director de Isthmus Norte, Escuela de Arquitectura y Diseño de América Latina y el Caribe en Chihuahua. Ganador del premio Iberoamericano de Tesis de investigación de vivienda sustentable en la categoría de investigación aplicada Infonavit-Redalyc. Autor de artículos de investigación en revistas arbitradas e indexadas, de capítulos de libros y del libro: Estrategias de Bioclimatización. Reducción del consumo de agua en equipos de enfriamiento evaporativo directo.
SILVIO DELVASTO ARJONA
Silvio Delvasto Arjona, nacido en Cali en 1947, ingeniero químico de la Universidad del Valle. Master of Science de University of Illinois (USA) en Civil Engineering and Management Materials y Doctorado de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia en Ingeniería Industrial (Nuevos Materiales y sus Tecnologías de Fabricación). Profesor titular de la Universidad del Valle desde 1973. Decano de la Facultad de Ingeniería durante dos periodos (1990-1996), representé a los decanos en el Consejo Superior.
Miembro del grupo de investigación Materiales Compuestos, categoría A1 de COLCIENCIAS, cofundador del Centro de Excelencia en Nuevos Materiales. Investigador Senior de Colciencias. Cofundador de la Escuela de Ingeniería de Materiales, del Programa Académico de Ingeniería de Materiales, y del Postgrado (Doctorado y Maestría) Área de Énfasis en Ingeniería de Materiales, de la Especialización en Materiales de Ingeniería de la Universidad del Valle y del Magister de Ingeniería Química. Miembro de comités de programa académico de pregrado y postgrado, investigaciones, departamento, escuela, planta física, etc. Par evaluador del Consejo Nacional de Acreditación y de la AUIP.
SIMON BRIGHT
Has specialized in bioclimatic architecture design and building, renewable energy, passive and low energy eco-techniques, ventilation through natural convection for theaters, auditoriums and large buildings and efficient energy management.
Simon received his undergraduate degree from the Andes University in Bogotá and has been a lecturer at many conferences in Japan, USA, Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica and Colombia. Has been a member of the American Solar Energy Society and has taught at Andes University, Jorge Tadeo Lozano, La Salle and Javeriana Universities in Bogotá, Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín and at the Instituto Superior de Arquitectura y Diseño in Chihuahua, México. Based in Málaga, Spain for the past 15 years is founder and principal at Taller del Sol, Arquitectos S.L. and Bright Arquitectos in Bogotá, Colombia.
